The empty 1100L bin still weighs about 50 kg and needs to be manually lifted back onto the curbstone, resulting in efficiency loss and strain on the shoulders, which risks a long term effect on health.

The rear step allows operators to position full containers effortlessly into the comb lifter. A gentle tipping motion using the foot instead of a strenuous shoulder lift ensures the container sits perfectly in the comb mechanism.
